It's too early!!!

Miranda has her 1st loose tooth. I called the dentist to make sure this was okay since she is barely 4 years old. They said that if it isn't discolored or she didn't hit her mouth to make it loose, then it's probably okay. She did start getting them very early(at 3 1/2 months old). The one that is loose is one of the 2 teeth that she got in first. So, I guess my baby is growing too fast! Anyway, I thought since this blog is all about Miranda, I couldn't leave this bit of info out! Oh, and by the way....she doesn't want money. She wants a green whistle from the tooth fairy. Do you know how hard it is to find a green whistle?!!! I had no idea!!! I looked at Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Walmart! Any suggestions?!!! Help!!!

Welcome to the Circus!

Miranda went to the circus for the first time a couple of weeks ago. She loved it!!! I have some pictures, but they are really blurry since it was dark and they moved around a lot. I will show you some of the better ones that I took. Me, Scottie, and Barbara went and had a ball! Unfortunately, Miranda had fever during this time and could not figure out what was wrong with her. She was acting fine and her appetite was fine too.....just a fever. I took her to the doctor that following Monday and it turned out to be just a viral infection with only fever. She was better within a couple of days. Anyway, she didn't let the fever let her time at the circus get ruined. She wants to go again already!

Here are a few pics of Miranda dressed so cute! I hope everyone had a good Halloween as well!

This One's For The Girls!!!

Well, I know this is usually a blog about my Miranda, but today was a special day for me. I got to walk in the Susan G. Komen Race for the very first time! The theme this year was "This One's For The Girls"! It was exhilarating!!! I was so pumped the entire time I was there! It is an awesome thing to do if you haven't already done it! I plan to do this again next year! I can't tell you in words how good it felt to be a part of such a good cause! I even got to do a video for the Channel 4 news. They call it "Why You Race" and they ask us to tell them in a video why we raced for the cure! I was so nervous when we did it(a co-worker of mine was in it with me). She made me do all the talking though.LOL It felt good after I did it and am anxious to see it on their website. I hope I didn't sound stupid. That is the most spontaneous thing I have done in YEARS!!! It is so not like me to grab a microphone and talk on camera.LOL Anyway, I have attached some pics of this great event, but let me tell you that these pictures of the crowd doesn't do it justice. You have to just see it yourself in real life. It was an awesome experience that I will remember for a very long time! Well, I have been up since 4:00 this morning, which would make this about 18 hours ago, so I guess I need to go to bed. I have church in the morning!LOL

Happy 4th Birthday Miranda!!!

We had Miranda's birthday party this past Saturday at the Gurdon Park. I can't believe that it rained pretty much all morning off and on. It has been beautiful weather until that day. Today(Sunday) is beautiful too....it just had to be the day of her party. Just my luck! The kids still had a good time at the park and played as if it weren't cold and wet. I am just glad that it didn't rain on them while they were playing. Miranda got a lot of presents and had fun with her friends and relatives. I can't believe how big she is getting! My baby is a little girl now! She will still be my baby though.....always and forever!!! Oh, and her big present that we got her was a trampoline. The grandparents chipped in with Me and Scottie and got it for her! She loved it!

I'm leavin' on a jet plane!!!

Hey everyone! I am sorry that I haven't added to the blog in a few weeks. It has been a crazy couple of months. Miranda and I went to California and had a good time until Miranda got sick. We got to go to the ocean and she loved it!!! We saw so many things there. Miranda loved the water too, even though it was freezing cold! The weather was pretty chilly too, for what we are use to. My Aunt doesn't even have an air conditioner in her house. They don't really need it!LOL Crazy, huh?! We also got to go to the Oakland Zoo and Miranda had a great time there. They also surprised Miranda with a little birthday party since it was going to be in a couple of weeks from then. It was very nice of them! We had cupcakes and she got to open presents. We are glad to be back home, but it was a nice visit too. Oh, and I almost forgot......Miranda LOVED the plane ride! I was so proud of her!!! I can only fit 5 pics at a time on this blog thing, so I had to pick one for every little event we did. The first one is her on the plane if you couldn't tell! Hope you enjoy!

California Here We Come!!!

Miranda and I are flying to California this weekend(Saturday) and staying with some relatives there. We cannot wait to get there and spend time with them. We are planning on going to the zoo, the beach, bowling, and swimming at the Plunge!!! It's going to be fun! The only thing I am worried about is Miranda flying for the first time. Please pray that we will have a safe trip there and back. I will be sure and share pictures and stories about our trip when we get back!

Birthday Picture Time!!!

Well, here we are again....we took Miranda to get her birthday pictures taken. She is going to be 4 years old on October 1st. ALREADY!!! I cannot believe how fast she is growing! She is saying things that I never imagined a 4 year old saying, songs that I had no idea she either knew the words to or even paid attention to. She has a huge personality and is soooo dramatic!LOL I just can't believe it is already 4 years! Time really does fly the older you get!LOL Anyway, we went to get her pictures taken and she did amazingly well! Her pictures turned out very well! She looked so grown up in her little high heel sandals and her painted fingernails and toe nails. My baby is not a baby anymore.....BUT she will ALWAYS be my baby girl! :o)

Snip, snip

Well!!! I don't have pictures this time, but just had to share this moment with you! Miranda has been using scissors recently at daycare and so she wants to use them at home too. I told her that when you use scissors, that you only cut paper and nothing else. Don't try to cut your hair is one that I stressed on. Well, it didn't matter......she cut her hair today! I didn't know it until I was in her room and saw a clump of hair under her purple table. I freaked!!! I asked her if she cut her hair and then she freaked out too! She started bawling and wouldn't let go of me. She didn't even want to tell me where she cut her hair at. I finally took her hair down and brushed it to see if I could figure out where she cut it. It looks like she cut it on the left side of her head. Not too bad to notice anything, but I had to save her hair in a baggy so that I can label it saying "Miranda's first haircut, cut by Miranda on July 20th, 2008"!LOL Oh, but that's not all! She also cut her shorts that she had on her. There is a little slit on one of her legs to where she cut it. Good thing they were just hand me down shorts.LOL Then she wrote, with a pencil(fortunately), on her dresser in her room. What is going on with my child?!!!

Happy 4th of July!

Well, we had a good 4th of July weekend. Miranda and I got to sleep in 2 whole days in a row!!! Woohoo!!! That doesn't happen very often. Anyway, we went to my mom's for a huge lunch and then visited with some family and watched fireworks that evening at the Gurdon football field! It was nice. Miranda wouldn't agree though! She is terrified of loud noises, so she had me hold her ears and cover her eyes the entire time! It was fabulous!!! NOT!!! She did look cute though in her 4th of July shirt though. Take a look!

Lakehouse trip (cont.)

Here are more pics of Miranda enjoying her visit with our family. She really loved the bubble bath in the heart shaped tub with jets in it! You would be surprised what a little bit of baby shampoo and jets can make.LOL

Lakehouse trip

Miranda, my Dad, Scottie, and I went to Oakland, AR to visit my Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, and cousin at their lakehouse. It is so beautiful there! It is on the cove of Bull Shoals Lake. These are pics of Miranda in their boat one day. She loved it! I will post another one with pics of more of our visit. You can only add 5 pics at a time.

Open wide!!!

Miranda paid a visit to the dentist for a cleaning. This is actually her 2nd cleaning, but I failed to remember my camera. I cannot believe I did that. I took a few pics on my phone, but I have no internet on it. Anyway, she was a trooper once again! She had good and healthy teeth. He did mention that she had a sticky spot in the back that we need to keep an eye on. We brush faithfully, so hopefully we can prevent a cavity from happening. She goes back for another cleaning in October.

Gymnastics time!!!

Miranda joined gymnastics in April and I am just now getting this added to her blog. You know me! She is loving gymnastics and is catching on really quickly according to one of the teachers. I am very proud of her. Doesn't she look adorable in her leotards? We may be looking at a future Olympic gymnast!LOL

Swimming time!!!

Miranda got to go swimming at her cousin Shelby's birthday party. It was at a hotel in Texarkana where they have an indoor heated pool. She has come a long way since last year. She didn't want to put even a toe in the pool then, but now she wanted to go in it and swim. She loved it!!! In fact, she cried when we had to go home.
